Sue Thorn was hooked on pottery when she first attended Tafe classes in the Riverland in the 1970’s, followed by an advanced pottery course.  Her work was marketed in the local craft shop ‘The Cobweb’.

In 1990 she and her husband moved to Kuitpo to continue dairying and then there was no time for her ‘hobby’.

After a 21 year break Sue commenced sessions at the Aldinga Community Centre.  There she became a volunteer in 2016 and now she is a supervisor and instructor at the centre’s pottery programme twice weekly.

Sue’s work includes wheel turned and hand-built pots, as well as sculpted miniature fish and animals.
