Kerry Angela

Resin Artist

Kerry Angela (formerly Mart) is an Adelaide-based artist and founder of Creative Beginnings, a wellbeing-focused arts business in McLaren Vale. With over 40 years of artistic experience and a background in aged care and community wellbeing, Kerry is passionate about making creativity accessible, welcoming, and inspiring for all.

While working across a range of mediums including acrylics, oils, watercolour, and mixed media, Kerry’s exhibited work within the Willunga Arts Collective primarily focuses on Resin Art.  Her resin pieces explore fluid movement, layered colour, and the calming connection between creativity and mindfulness. Kerry often stretches the flowing abstract forms within her work to create seascapes, landscapes, birds, and sea creatures, allowing each piece to evolve organically through movement and imagination.

Through Creative Beginnings, Kerry facilitates beginner-friendly workshops and community art programs that encourage confidence, self-expression, and social connection.

Kerry’s work has featured in SALA exhibitions and community collaborations throughout the Fleurieu region, and she was awarded Art & Design Business of the Year 2023 by the Christies Beach Business and Tourism Association.

Kerry believes creativity is not about perfection, but about connection, expression, and the joy of creating.
